Pope Perry Mason I
When Prevost stepped out on the balcony I immediately got sick to my stomach but seeing the neo trads swoon over this guy made me even sticker. Michael Matt said he was dressed nice so that’s a good sign. If cloths make the man then does vestments make the pope. At first Taylor Marshall put out a video about upcoming conclave and said Prevost was the worst case scenario and went on to say why. When I went to find the video it mysteriosly disappeared. Now Taylor said he submits to and humbly takes a knee to Pope Leo XIV and even commented that he wept when he saw Prevost come out on the balcony in traditional vestments. I am not sure if he wept tears of joy or for other reasons.
What set me further into depression was seeing Cardinal Raymond Burke pull a full Judas. I found this the biggest sell out. Just a day or so before the conclave a number of Cardinals met in Burkes room why was not clear. Now there is speculation that the reason Prevost was elected was because of some backroom deals and the key people here were Dolan, Cupich, Pierre, and BURKE. Was this foursome the people in the room? Its said Burke worked out a deal to keep Paroline from getting elected speculation but logical. I thought it was illegal for Cardinals to work deals with Cardinals. Whats in it for Burke? Who knows? Maybe he gets his free apartment back in Rome.
This seems to have some farther reaching ramifications. This mornings sermon at mass spent about 3 sentence on Mothers day they quickly went into a full flung rage on how if we do not totally accept this pope and walk lock step with him we risk hell, if we choose sedevantism we risk hell. So then we have to act like the same sheep that have voted Democrat all these years. This tells me they are probably getting major push back on Leo and Burke, who has extremely close ties to the ICKSP, where I went to mass this morning, sent a request to keep the troops in line. Canon then said we can not judge the pope in secular political terms. No? Then what do you call that backroom deal Burke had going? Politics has always been a part of the Vatican like it or not.
I always assumed that the Cardinals were guided by the holy spirit to pick the pope. According to Crisis Magazine this is no really true, the Cardinals elect him. According to Darrick Taylor:

Just my own logic to set my mind at ease yes the Holy Spirit can not err, but men can, men also have a free will, so who is to say that they will listen to Holy Spirit after they are given guidance. That seems to be a gray area to me.
Despite the chastisement from canon this morning lets get into brass tax on just were Pervost stands on issues. First some background. I am 3rd generation Chicagoan born in 1953 in Chicago only 2 years older than the current pope (I was really considering Sedevacantism but just can not get my head around it, Holy Spirit speaking, I think so). The media says he is a registered Republican, False! In Illinois you do not register to any party, in the primary you have to declare a party. It is standard procedure here for Democrats to pull GOP ballots and vote for the worst Republican. In 2024 for example they voted for Nickie Halley over Donald Trump. Its come out that Pervost Bother living in Florida is a MAGA Republican, great, but what baring does it have on Leo. Leo, like the cardinals that backed him, are open boarders, following in Francis footsteps. the MAGA platform, the one Trump got elected on, was secure boarders. The brothers are on opposite sides of the spectrum there. It happens, I have two liberal sisters.
Pope Leo, or should I say pope Perry after Perry Mason, is a canon lawyer. Lawyers are lawyers. He gave a very flowerful first address using all kinds of catch phrases the neo trads love, threw a bit of Latin in there to boot and now all of a sudden he is the new unifier and savior of the Catholic faith. I was arguing with a neo trad on twitter who is one of the new generation of popesplainer. He told me give him a change. I told him he had a chance but he flubbed it, he was the one who removed Strickland and appointed McElroy (Done to combat Trump primarily). He told me sometimes people have to do what they are told to do even if they don’t like it, the old vow of obedience clause (see how I worked the legal jargon in there). That approach did not go over well for the Nazi’s at the Nuremberg Trials, did it, “I was only obeying orders”. Lets not stop at Leo Mason, how about James Martin as Delia Street and Blase Cupich as Paul Drake.
So then what do we know for sure about this guy.
- Brought up on Chicago Politics and some real bad Cardinals, Bernadine and Cody
- Said he would continue with Bergoglian policy especially Synod and Open Boarders
- Did the old shell game hiding some pervert priest, but thats pretty common these days.
- Continuation of the destructive Vatican II
- No mention of the Latin mass. How convenient, Catholic spin doctors are floating stories that he says the Latin mass privately. Anyone waiting for a Surmonium Pontificum are in for a long wait!
- Appeared on the Balcony with a grinning Blase Cupich (your judged by the company you keep)
- Praised for 20 minutes straight by Jimmy Martin (your judged by the company you keep) This might give insight on where he stands on sodomite marriage despite the spin of him being totally into traditional Catholic morality
I warn you this man is polished and knows how to manipulate. He is every bit the Perry Mason or as Hamilton Burger would say, “Your honor what kind of trickery is the defense attorney up to now?” Keep this in mind when we see the old smoke and mirrors over the next few months. A bit of Latin here and there, Pius X occasionally, always dressed as a pope of old. Be careful this man may not look like Francis or sound like Francis but scratch away the surface and there if Francis.
At least I finally finalized my own plans on this. First off for the last few days I felt like the nation must of felt after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Confussion, fear, and depression. So first order of business is a Novena to St. Joseph for the intention of “That Our Lord may teach me how he wants me to act regarding this pope and the grace to carry out his will”
Secondly as a nod to my Pub friends who had to put up with my negativism these last few days, after the Novena I WILL say prayers for the man. That will be the hardest part, I am not used to praying for my enemies. If I don’t I will be guilty of pride, the same sin that lost heaven for Lucifer.
