Pritzker did see his shadow, and the name is Darrin Baily, GOP candidate for governor. I am sure Bailey is a good man and morally can run circles around the fatman and believe me there are a lot of miles involved in doing that. There are two problems, his track record and his one issue stand.
Track record is simple, he ran against Pritzker once and he lost, stay tuned for the sequel this November. The one issue is a little more complicated. In the primary I voted for Ted Dabrowski. He had a track record of being a marketing genius and money numbers guy. A perfect fit for Illinois. Problem is only 24% of us thought that way. Bailey won with over 54% with much of that support coming from downstate Illinois bible belt.
Bailey is a fighter, I give him that, he was thrown out of the Illinois state house for refusing to wear a mask during the scamdemic. At that point I saw a lot of myself in the man. Defiant no nonsense. But also by no means having any political skills.
So I am watching the Hammond Bears loose Saturday night and what do I see. A woke lib anti Darren Bailey for governor ad. They ask him if a women was raped would he approve an abortion. He said No. Bailey with lack of political skills played right into their hands. He should of thrown the ball back at them and should of said “I do not support murder do you?”. If they pressed it I would of given facts that rapes are statistically a small percentage of abortions and there are adoption agency’s than can help her. I am sure the woke crowd would come back crying, asking, “what about the women’s feelings”. He should of said “so then you rather put to death an innocent person, the baby, to pay for the crime?” Politically he is way out of his league.
I looked up how he stands on the issues and offers nothing concrete on solutions but then neither does Pritzker aside from higher taxes and more support for illegal aliens.
Then to complicate the situation more Collin Corbett has thrown his hat in the ring as a third candidate claiming to “provide a moderate alternative to the major party candidates.” All this means is more votes taken away from Bailey to further cement a Pritzker victory. In this state of corruption I would not be at all surprised if his campaign is being funded by the Pritzker for Governor committee. Syphon away even more of Bailey’s votes.
All this being said I will still get out to the polls and vote for Darin Bailey although I wish there was someone else I will just have to make due with what I have and hope for the best. I know a man can’t help how he looks but its difficult to vote for a guy who looks like Drew Carey and take him seriously. But he is running and I am not which means basically he is a better man than me.
