Today got to mass early and had my confession heard by one of the newly ordained ICSKP priests. So young but a good confessor already. After mass I got his first blessing as a priest, another pleasant surprise.
Now the bad part. In the announcements before mass our rector pulled out the sin card again. Last week is was all about the “sad” events in Encone and how those of us who relished in the consecrations are guilty of sin and should be ashamed.
The sin card came out again today it was the evil internet and social networks. We were told especially in this time of stress for the church those of us who sought out the internet for information on problems within the church were guilty of sin. If we shared that information that is another sin.
But, but, I thought with Synolity Leo is encouraging the laity to seek out information about the church. So which is it. Follow this pope and investigate and discuss the faith or go against him and isolate ourselves.
To set the record straight. I actually do love the ICKSP although at times it may not sound like it. They are good men, every man jack of them. They know the faith frontwards and backwards much like the old parish priest when I grew up. However we are now in church politics, because of their ages is a field they know nothing about. Many of them are too young and have led very insulated lives to know the catastrophe going on in the church bad pope after bad pope.
When a pope pushes for gay blessings, or diminishes the importance of our Lady or denies Christ miracles I think its something that needs to be told, sin or not. People need to know who the man under the impeccable traditional vestments is and not just the hype his pr department feeds us. What is the alternative then? We just sit here and keep our mouths shut ignoring what we see and hear. History has proven that is how tyrants get in power. Don’t look now but our church already has one in power.
Mainly I get frustrated. I wish these guys would just stick to their job of reading the mass and hearing confessions. Something they excell at and get off of the political soap box. I am convinced the spineless jellyfish Raymond Burke is putting them up to this. He has done an awful lot of cheer leading for Leo Lately. Burke is extremely close to these canons too. He has even referred to them as “his boys”. What better way to score browny points with Leo. Its a pity, he should just leave them alone.
The SSPX consecrations set the foundation to retake our church all that is needed is to unite against a common evil………..modernism. Something newly consecrate Bishop Goldade describes as an acid that destroys everything it touches. The SSPX has said they will remain loyal to the pope in everything except the post Vatican 2 modernism. That sure does not sound like Schism to me.
Rather than taking pot shots at each other lets unite against a common enemy. Modernist Rome. All we need is enough pressure to get leo to step down then maybe a good pope will be elected. There is about one in a hundred chance of that but it is still a chance. United we stand divided we fall.
