In the wee hours of Friday Morning I watched the Episopal consecrations of 4 priests to the Society of St. Pius X to Bishop. The ceremony was very long (about 6+ hours) but also very touching and very Catholic and not a scent of Schism anywhere. I felt so Catholic watching it, so very Catholic watching it. Proud of my faith, its true beauty, and a new zeal to fight for her.
At approximately 3:15 am Chicago time, Fr. Davide Pagliarani the superior general of the SSPX had the sermon. Very touching, at times emotional at other times when necessary forceful. Anyone who wanders by my website know I have no love for this pope, unfortunately he is the pope, and I have finally come to fully accept that. Fr. Pagliarani said we love the pope. At first my radar went up, “how can anyone love this miserable excuse of a Catholic” but then he explained. They love the pope and hate seeing him humiliated by apostate clergy that surround him, pulling him down. Fr.Pagliarani has much more charity than I have, I need to work on that. Leo may be an arrogant politician but he is, for what ever reason the Holy Spirit had, is the Pope.
Fr. Paliarani went on to say we are all Catholics, we are all of the same family, the same nation, as it were. He said they are doing these consecrations for love of this family, to preserve her and the true faith, because, as he said, there is only on true faith and that is the Catholic faith. Like I said very emotional.
I began to think, as trads we isolate ourselves almost like people did during covid. Vatican 2 was a disease but one that can be conquered by the true faith of tradition. I think about when I have to go to my local parish church for confession (I sin too much and the ICKSP is a long long way to go, and the the long lines make it a crap shoot if I can get in) the people I see waiting to get into confession, some women wearing chapel veils, some people praying their rosary or reading scripture while waiting for the confessional to become available. Like Fr. Paliarani says they are also all part of the Catholic family. They just have no to nuture them in the faith.
There are only a handful of Novus Ordo priests I trust for confession, you can count the number on one hand. Two of them are in the local parish. The absolution is the full version, an act of contrition is required and the penance appropriate. The only thing missing is the Latin, which I truely miss, but still Catholic non the less.
The Catholic church today is a mess. Its much like T.D.S. (Trump Derangement Syndrome). I support president Trump however my liberal family has terminal TDS and as a result I see very little of them. I don’t hate them and as Fr. Paliarani says we are all family.
By the same token the SSPX is well aware of the Crisis in the church despite what Fr. Ripperger says (I think he has been talking to too many demons). I got my SSPX newsletter from the District of the United States yesterday. Very inspirational with no signs of giving up the fight.

So just like 1988 here we go again, fingers will point, tempers will flair and naturally the Sedevacantist’s will douse it all with gasoline but the fight for the faith will continue as it has for centurys.
