At this point everyone has seen the cringe worthy video of Ron Hicks another Leo appointed DEI hire as bishop of Archdiocese of New York. First impression I got was a pimply faced adolescent bubbling about the upcoming sock hop. I am sure in High School the kid was worthy of every toilet swishy he got from the Varsity football team. Flush twice its a long way to Rome.
The only consistency here is he fits the mold of the rest of Leo’s quislings. You have a skin head in Detroit who is pretty much doing PSA (public service announcements) for the new mosque in Dearborn Michigan. There is another video masterpiece. Weisenberger when on for 10 minutes on how reverent and beautiful the mosque was. I bet it was, none of those unsightly communion rails that he and his cohorts have been busy ripping out.
Talk about ripping out communion rails Leo’s bobsey twins of Martin and McElroy (sound like a couple of ambulance chasers) are in full swing there. McElroy would of been on it sooner but he wanted to get rid of that pesky exorcist first. He can’t have anyone who actually recognizes evil and who has disdain for his mentor and advisor. Who else would advise him in that old Vatican shell game of hide the pedophile.
As far as Hicks goes being a fellow Chicagoan I am somewhat familiar with the kid. He was the former bishop of Joliet, a Bergoglian appointee. Before him was Bishop Conlon, who was somewhat friendly towards the TLM. He brought in the FSSP in Joliet and sister chapel in Naperville and allow Summorum Pontificum Cura for any parish that wanted it. For a couple years I attended mass at St. Marys in West Chicago. Fr. John ran St. Marys and every assistant he got he sent to John Cantius for a crash course in the Latin mass. The result was the TLM was flourishing. The priests I spoke too absolutely loved the opportunity to read the Latin mass and their numbers grew. The only bad part was these were Novus Ordo priest, God bless em, and unfortunately many were indoctrinate to the adlib of the Novus Ordo so rubrics, the key to any tridentine mass, was sometimes discarded. One priest insisted on singing the Our Father during the low mass. One year I was even able to receive ashes on Ash Wednesday in the Latin rite. I really began to see a light at the end of the modernist tunnel.
The appointment of Ronnie the Kid ended all that. Ya he kept the mass at St. Marys but all other TLM venues he said had to stop. This broke the heart of most of these Novus Ordo priests getting a taste of the old mass for the first time, and who appreciated the reverence.
I want to think TLM Catholics are different. We have a thirst for the faith and try to learn as much as we can. Most Novus Ordo catholics its a once a week shot. Literally that 10 or 15 minute sermon is the only chance for Novus Ordo catholics to learn their faith. In New York the kid totally squandered that opportunity. He wasted it hopping around thrilled with his new sports toys. I don’t need the church I have the Knicks. We can see how shallow his faith really is. In the old days priest did not use the pulpit as a stage for their comedy acts or sports memorbilia, they save that for the bake sale in the church hall.
I am putting my hopes on the SSPX that they will not cave again like they did so many times to the Vatican. However I hope and pray this is different. I honestly think they learned their lesson that Rome can not now or ever be trusted. I think they have come to recognize the lying beast which is Rome. Come on you guys leed us out of this mess!
