Its no secret ever since Paul VI ALL the popes have been looking for ways to rid themselves of those pesky traditional Catholics. You know the ones, the little marching holy cards as the EX night club bouncer Jorge Bergoglio once called us. We have always been a great thorn in the side of the revolution. Its like that old commercial for ring around the collar, remember, you tried rubbing them out, you tried scrubbing them out but you still wind up with ring around the collar. That’s exactly the way the Vatican sees us, those stubborn stains that just will not go away. Or better put like in the movie Catholics where Raf Vallone, the Father General tells Father Kinsella the Vatican hit man to “get that old fool off that mountain James, he is part of the church we left behind”.
The church we left behind? Wishful thinking on their part. Its the only section of the church that is growing. I see that every Sunday with more and more young families in attendance. These are people who were born well after Vatican II but are now angry their heritage, the true faith was stolen from them. Leftie Leo has a plan, same plan as his predecessors. Its like the Who, “meet the new boss same as the old boss”. Any trace of the old church can not be left standing. I think the SSPX has finally realized that and now know who the real enemy is. You can not compromise with a serpent.
Many thought Benedict was the answer to return the church to her senses. He dressed like a pope (like someone else we know), seemed to act traditional but in his substance was a modernist who supported Vatican II. Even though he thought the reforms moved too quickly and actually damaged the church he was still a supporter. He was also elevated to Cardinal by Paul VI, that should tell us something. I think he realized that both the Tridentine mass and mass of Paul VI could never exist under the same roof so he came up with ordinary and extraordinary rite. Be that as it may the stubborn Trad issue still remains.
Ever since Benedict I have been worried about the SSPX getting way too friendly with Rome. Since the neo Trad Benedict was elected pope the society grew closer and closer to Rome and her errors. I almost entirely gave up hope when they continued the negotiations with Francis. I like Bishop Fellay but I think he is a lot like Pius XII. Some things he just never noticed or paid attention to. I am sure Pius wished he had a chance to take back that appointment of Annibale Bugnini to the Vatican commission on Liturgical reform in 1948. Bugnini with the help of 6 protestant ministers destroyed the Catholic liturgy and with it her doctrine.
I think Bishop Fellay realizes that Rome is definitely no friend of the true church and all he got from them before is smoke and mirrors fighting a delay tactic until the remaining bishops are 6 feet under and the society eventually falls apart. Again modern Rome has no use for Tradition. I am excited with the rhetoric coming from the SSPX lately, it reminds me of the old days, the society definitely has its mojo back.
That takes us to the consecrations set for July 1. The society has even set up a special website in anticipation for a large showing at the consecrations. Outside the modernist Cabal in Rome support is high for the SSPX plans for July 1, 2026. Threats of excommunication mean nothing, how can you be excommunicated by a heretical pope anyway? Support is high for the consecrations by both religious and lay alike of the Society regardless of the excommunication decree Tucho the official Vatican porn writer is itching to release. Like a derringer the modernist continue to draw the excommunication card thinking that like the old days it actually meant something. St. Augustin once said “The discussion is over Rome has spoken”. In his day under orthodox popes yes. Not today with this Vatican crowd. I think Leo is definitely in favor of Schism. Almost like he is pushing the SSPX to perform the consecrations so he can indeed excommunicate them. He insults them by ignoring them and worse yet sending the kissing expert Fernandez to deal with them. Meanwhile he is off to deal with some real doctrinal issues, like climate change and open boarders. Please don’t bother him with the actual faith he is a busy global jet setter.
What comes next then after the consecrations/excommunication? I think its part of the Vaticans plan all along. Years ago there was talk that Rome would herd all remaining TLM Catholics to the SSPX then excommunicate the whole lot once and for all and problem solved leaving a clear path for a disastrous Synodal Church.
This is part of one a two punch strategy. Rome has been removing all traces of the faith that was left on the diocesan level under the Bergolian lines of popes, Francis and Leo. Remember Leo made all the diocesan appoints even under Francis. He now has a good stock of modernist sociallist soldiers to do his bidding. Traditiones Custodas has basically rubbed out the Latin mass. Now comes the work of forcing the Cranmer table into all churches and removing the communions rails of which Bishop Martin is dead on track with. Its called a scorched earth policy. Cries to Leo from the faithful to stop were met by crickets, same crickets serenading the SSPX right now. That would only leave the ecclesia Dei groups such as the ICKSP, FSSP, etc to intimidate and/or destroy.
I know of many priests in both the FSSP and the Institute that said they would refuse to say the new mass. I think a manatory Novus Ordo will be a prerequisite for them to continue their ministry. Since Leo loves muslims so much he took a page out of their book of conquest. Three choices either you convert to Islam or you will either be executed, or taxed to continue practicing Christianity. You can cross the tax option off the list. Just substitute Tradition for Christianity and you got it. This will probably result in division among the eclesia dei communities. Some religious will bolt for the SSPX others will remain to become Synodal priests vowing to a heretical pope.
Call it morbid if you wish but I am excited with the SSPX plans. It really has to be done to preserve the true faith without the errors of Rome. Scripture does say if your right eye causes you to sin then pluck it out. It is better to enter heaven with oly one eye”. The consecrations will probably touch off a series of events that will touch the lives of all Trads. Probably by the end of the year. As for myself I fully expect to be excommunicated.
