Your Holiness,
A friend just told me you are to undergo surgery to remove a node on you lungs. I was saddened to hear this and want you to know I will be adding you to my daily St. Peregrine and St. Roche lists of the sick. St.Peregrine, from my experience, is a powerhouse so I have all the confidence that he will intercede for your full recovery. Many on my list has been totally cured. St. Roche is also no one to be scoffed at. Rest assured my prayers are with you and a full recovery.
That being said, I am a Traditional Latin mass Catholic who has just joined the SSPX. One of the Catholics you just got done excommunicating. To be honest I really do not like you nore do I trust you. However I fight for the church just like I am sure you think your doing. I want to win this to restore our true Catholic faith but not at this price. I have been very critical of you in the past but will stop my rhetorical criticism of you until you are fully recovered. You just do not need this right now. Then I warn you the gloves come off. We go back at it.
My background is much the same as you. I am 73 and schooled by the nuns in the archdiocese of Chicago. At our age health is becoming more and more of an issue. Lets face it its no fun getting old. As Father Cassidy (one of your guys) used to say one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. Hopefully my prayers will keep your foot off of the banana for many years to come. At my age I have been doing a lot of thinking about the “end of the line” as I am sure you do as well. Hazzard of age I suppose. All of a sudden neither one of us realizes we are invulnerable. I don’t know about you but for me its a very scary thought.
This being said I want us both to live into our 90s. This way when the Cubs meet the White sox in the world series I want to make sure I rub the Cubs victory in without mercy.
Get well soon your holiness.
Al Schroeder
