Just out of plain emotion I did a lot of bashing of the ICKSP the last couple of posts. I have since deleted them and ask forgiveness. I was pretty harsh. We TLM Catholics have one thing in common (except maybe trad inc. after all I still need someone to condemn) we are all trying to survive this very critical and very trying time in the Catholic church. I have no right to criticize any religious adhering to the true Catholic faith of tradition and realize that now. They have a lot more to loose in this than I do so I have no right to judge them. So here is where I stand.
Do I support the Episcopal Consecrations in Encone? Yes absolutely! It had to be done. I still think the SSPX is the only light in the storm for unwavering support of the Traditional pre Vatican II church. They will always be there regardless of which pope is in the chair at the time. They will continue to grow and influence.
Do I condemn the ICKSP, the FSSP, etc in not supporting the SSPX. No, not any more I am so tired of condemning people who’s opinion varies even slightly to mine. I don’t condemn them but I still think they are wrong. I think if they all rallied with the SSPX things just might get done. But, hey, just my opinion, besides I have nothing to loose. The institute probably feels they have to make concessions to the local bishops for the Latin mass. I suppose that is a good thing in a way. At least Catholics will be exposed to it. Once people experience it they will not go back to the Novus Ordo. Maybe thats the goal, I don’t know.
Where do I stand? I am still not sure. Right now I think I need a break from the ICKSP and will head to Wisconsin for the SSPX. I like to make good investments and the SSPX seems to be an A+ stock for me. Basically just take one thing at a time. I will probably hit up the Institute on occasion. I know a place where I get 3 dollar a dozen eggs on the way home on Sundays. When I run out of eggs, mass in Rockford. Yes, what a shallow faith I have. I am also getting tired of all this circular firing squads. I will try to shoulder my weapon a bit. If all else fails I have a couple good local options in reserve. The only reason I do not take full advantage is because Sundays be become a ritual for me.
Up early, long drive to mass, beautiful country drive though, back home for bacon, eggs, and English muffin breakfast, the on the deck, cigar, a few beers, the Epoch times and finishing off the day with a nice steak dinner off my back yard grill. And NO I am not responsible for the smoke as my neighbor teased me about.
That’s it for me just give me my penance and I’ll be gone.
