Yes you still have to go to mass on Sunday now try to find one reflecting beliefs you honestly believe in.
Last time I checked, other than the Covid Scamdemic times in Novus Ordo land, Catholics are still obligated to attend mass on Sundays and Holy days of obligation. TLM locations worked thru the government hoax which is partially the reason for a surge in their attendance. People who went to the Novus Ordo church were locked out by political bishops who had more alliance with the Democrat party than they did with St. Peter and the apostles. The result in many cases, people wandered into the TLM, liked what they saw, and kept going.
Bishops keep scratching their heads trying to figure out why people just don’t go to mass anymore. Here is your answer. Stop giving them relevant politically correct garbage calling it a Catholic mass and give them their faith back. Many have said after attending a TLM they feel like their faith was stolen from them. Here is the bottom line……………..it has been.
The most potent destruction came from Fr. Anibale Bugnini, my personal villan in all this. As Fr. Cekada writes:
Bugnini’s roll so far has been remarkable: in the 1940’s, he plots the liturgical revolution with his fellow modernists in the Liturgical Movement. In the 1950s through his influential position on the Pian commission , he gradually introduces some elements of the modernist program. In 1960 -1, he assembles the proposals for Vatican II’s Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy. In 1962, he writes the draft for the Constitution of the Sacred Liturgy. From 1964 onward s he runs the commission that interprets the Constitution, chooses those who will help him, and implements the constitution he wrote by creating new rites. After the creation of the New Mass he will run the Vatican Congregation for Divine Worship.
Bugnini will go from strength to strength until 1975, when he will be summarily removed without any official explanation. At that time stories circulated in the traditionalist press that he had been unmasked as a secret Freemason.
When I made the change to tradition back in the early 80s I struggled for years, decades that if I did not attend the local Novus Ordo it was a sin. Finally after a lot of research I came to the stark reality it was not. We were treated like the frog in the boiling water. Started with Bugnini back in 1948 slowly destroying the true Catholic faith and replacing it with people (not God) centered new rites. The intent of the New Liturgical movement people that invaded the faith in the 20th century was to remove any notion of a divine presence and focus on the assembly because its all about people. That is why they stripped down the churches to look like the inside of a white Westinghouse refrigerator. Having statues of saints deter people and their interaction with one another. They have destroyed the mystical body replacing it with a rotary club social. What we have now in the mass of Paul VI is merely a protestant style prayer service commemorating the last supper, nothing more, no, its not a Catholic mass. That I firmly believe.
I have not been to a Novus Ordo mass in 30 years with the exception of my brother in laws funeral mass. He was not Catholic, only attended services Christmas and Easter with my sister, but according the the Novus Ordo priest was in heaven at this very moment smiling down on us. What ever happened to the Catholic church is the one true church outside of which there is no salvation. That, by the way Bugini also changed the wording at the consecration of the wine. In our TLM rite at the consecration of the wine the phrase “for you and for many” was changed to “for you and for all”. We have just now witnessed subtle change in doctrine from only baptized Catholics can be saved to all men, protestant, Muslim, Hindu, etc. can be saved. This and other heresy can be found in the Novus Ordo.
At a recent Novus Ordo psudo mass with Prevost flanked by altar girls he chastised Catholics as being too hostile towards other religions, that all religions offer a pathway to heaven (heresy). This so called mass was on women’s day where he was flanked by 2 altar girls to show his respect for women and support of the secular feast day. He forgets the mass is about worshiping and honoring God and not paying ohmage to womens day, Black lives matter day or any other secular feast day.
If your a traditional Catholic who believes in the pre 1950 Catholic faith brace yourselves, it will only get worse. Work out your contingency plans now for mass and the sacraments before its too late. If you don’t then eventually you will all be forced into attending “the mass of the howling dog” or the Novus Ordo Missa as its also known as. You will wind up like the boiling frog, constantly getting brainwashed until your faith eventually dies.
