For those of you not into carpentry a “Dutchman” is a term used to describe removal of a rotted piece of wood. My dad, quite the home handyman taught me this term when I was very young. Typically when an inch or two of the wood on a door for example has extreme rot it is removed and new wood is shaped, attached, sanded and painted. It becomes like new.
In the case of the Catholic church however not only half the door but the entire door frame is rotted so ya, we’re gonna need a bigger “Dutchman”. To be honest I doubt that it is possible to remove this much rot after all there is not much of the original structure left.
The book I am reading for Lent, “Work of human hands” by Fr. Anthony Cekada is bearing this all out and its not just since Vatican 2 either. This probably goes back to the 1800s and something called the new liturgical movement. It started out nobly, the intent was to strengthen the liturgy, but the modernists eventually hijacked it in order to totally change the Catholic faith. One thing the modernist and the American Democrat party have in common is a skill in playing the waiting game. They will take years, decades, or centuries to get their policies passed. Much like Athletes foot you think the irritating itching is gone but it always comes back worse than ever.
There is one thing that shocks me, On 28 May 1948, Pope Pius XII appointed Anniblae Bugnini, secretary to the Commission for Liturgical Reform. This was almost 14 years before the council and Pius appoints Bugnini of all people to head a commission for Liturgical reform. Did Pius have the wool pulled over his eyes or what? Or knowing the Vatican as we now do was he given “an offer he couldn’t refuse”. For anyone not familiar it was Bugnini who with the help of 6 protestant ministers conspired to redesign the Catholic mass making it less objectionable to protestants.
So now we are at the stage of bishops fighting bishops as our Lady told of at Akita. “The time will come when brother shall fight against brother, cardinal against cardinal, bishop against bishop, satan setting himself in their midst. But know that the Father will have all under control. It is in this manner that He will separate the sheep from the goats.” – Our Lady, November 1, 1974 This is most evident in the pending consecrations of bishops by the SSPX. Everyone and their brother is weighing in. Bishops I used to have respect for, namely Burke and Sarah seem to have taken the last stage out of town in warning the society of a split with threats of excommunication. Burke has started to go as far now as defend Vatican II. I think he is calling us right wing extremists now, we’re just too rigid he claims. All of a sudden his thinking perfectly aligns with Francis, remember, “The rigid trads are like holy cards walking in a straight line, and Francis aligns perfectly with the New Liturgical movement. The new Liturgical folks denounce Rigidity right after they denounce the real presence.
People have told me there was some good in Vatican II. I will concede that to them but look at Vatican II as a used car. It has a great well kept interior, perfectly timed engine but the transmission is totally shot so the vehicle can not move in gear. Vatican II is like that used car but a vehicle to help get you to heaven. If its not going to move it won’t get you anywhere. As for me I will take Archbishop Lefebvre’s stance and reject the council.
Problem is even if V2 was somehow miraculously thrown in the trash heap you will still have the modernists of the new liturgical movement to worry about. Again like the Democrats they will never give up. They seem to have no problems with setbacks they just push on.
Like American democrats also, the modernist cells in the Catholic church follow the phrase set popular by Rahm Emanual, Never bring a knife to a gun fight. The first major fight came in the 1958 conclave that saw the election of Cardinal Roncalli as Pope John XXIII. I am old enough to remember, first white smoke, a pope is elected, then followed immediately by black, no pope. The video papal impostors suggests that the council was high jacked to make sure Cardinal Siri, Pius XIII hand pick successor, a traditionalist, would never occupy the chair of Peter. Was he threatened by Vatican thugs? No one knows but based on what we have seen Rome capable of in the last few years anything is possible.
Now suspiciously enough, in May of 2025 a brand new conclave with some of the same questions as the one in 1958. Overnight Catholic cardinals and lay influences one fighting for the real Catholic faith do a complete 180 and praise Leo to the hilt. Taylor Marshall just the night before the conclave proclaimed Prevost was the worst choice. The very next day Marshall claims to take a knee for Leo. Rumor has it he now waits at the steps of St. Peter’s waiting for Leo to see if he need a shoe shine. Gotta admit now it would go well with his veneer traditional vestments. Next thing we know Prevost has a stunning victory and unanimous support and no one seems to know why.
At this point the best advice I could leave anyone with is a line from the PBS series I Clavidus (that would be Claudius for those opposed to Latin). King Herod councils the young Claudius “Trust no one my friend, NO ONE, not your friend, your wife, or you mother who gave you suck”. This also took place in Rome. Great advice for the SSPX, the Ecclesia Groups, and all of us remaining Catholics.
