At best all they got from Rome were the sound of crickets chirping. Leo did however at the 11th hour send his hatchet man\/Porn writer, Tucho the lip to deal with the problem. Tucho had an easy job of it. Just keep repeating no, no, no, over and over again until the society got frustrated and retreated back to Encone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Vatican synodal train seems to be moving now. We have herd Cardinal Roche tell us Leo has no plans to retract Traditiones custodas or revive and expand Surmonium pontificum. We have seen a Novus Ordo priest in the Milwaukee diocese tell us “The Latin mass offered by Christ the King is an ACCOMODATION only there for people not mature enough to accept Vatican II mass of Paul VI. This pretty much tells us all we need to know. That is there is no future for the Latin mass or traditional Catholic faith in Leo’s Synodal church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anyone still attached to the ecclesia Dei groups, both clergy and laity, really need to examine their future. Decades ago the Resurrectionist priests used to minister to St. John Cantius church in Chicago. This church is relevant for me as my Polish Grandfather was an altar boy there in the late 1800s. Fr. Phillips the pastor asked then Cardinal George for permission to read a tridentine mass in the church and it was granted. It was so successful that Fr. Phillips then petitioned Rome for a permission to establish an order of priests. It was granted and the Canons regular of St. John Cantius was started with Fr. Phillips training new priests in the TLM. They grew ministering to various parishes in the diocese. I had attended one in St. Peters church in Volo. The Tridentine mass was packed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am sure it was to appease the diocese but the canons regular offered 3 types of masses. The Tridentine mass, a Novus Ordo in Latin, and a Novus Ordo in English. The order and churches grew until ill health forced cardinal George to resign. To replace him Francis found Blase Cupich hiding under a rock and appointed his Cardinal for the Archdiocese of Chicago. From then on it was bad news for the Latin mass Chicago. Blase shut down the institute of Christ king in the Woodlawn neighborhood. He told them if they wanted to continue the TLM they would have to sign a loyalty oath recognizing the mass of Paul VI as the only recognized liturgy in the Catholic church. The institute graciously refused and no more Christ the king in Chicago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Blase then set his meat hooks on to canons of John Cantius. Immediately after Traditiones Custodas came out Cupich forbid the canons of St. John Cantius to read the TLM on the first Sunday of the month per the edicts of T.C. All this managed to do was to totally fill the SSPX chapel in Oak Park to bulging proportions on those Sundays. A friend and very reliable source told me that new Canons Regular of St. John Cantius are forbidden from offering the TLM – only the priests that previously had faculties can do so. All this means is new priests will no longer be allowed to read a Latin mass. I am sure it also means they will not be taught the TLM in their formations. Seems to me the wise move for the people from SJC who attend the SSPX first Sunday of the month would be better off to stay in Oak Park!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You see what’s happening here, its a template being formed on how to deactivate the TLM. First you remove the new priests. This was just done at SJC and I expect to see it coming soon to the FSSP and the ICKSP. Its easy for the Vatican corporation to do it too. Just forbid the Ecclesia Dei groups from ordaining any new priests until they submit to no instructions in seminary on the TLM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Vatican tells us the TLM must be removed for church unity. Odd way to get unity and respect by acting like a slave master. All who are attached to the TLM will have to make a choice. Either totally submit to Rome and the elimination of the traditional church, and this goes for lay and clergy alike or join the SSPX. Yes I know not an easy decision but be assured it is coming. Four weeks ago I joined an SSPX chapel and there I plan to remain until they pry the rosary out of my cold dead hands!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
