Remember when we all thought they would actually stand up and defend the traditional faith? I guess actual guts was too much to hope for. I don’t want to burst anyone’s bubbles but apparently we’ve all been sitting on a tack! Apparently those good bishops have gone the same way as Panama hats and hula hoops. Total capitulation.

The papal trail leads all the way back to the conclave and the election of lovable leftie Leo. At that point most of us trads thought we might actually have a chance to change things. Shortly before the conclave, with in a day or two actually, we thought it was possible to right the the barque of Peter with actual Catholic leadership in the chair of Peter. Taylor Marshall came out with a podcast that said Prevost would be the worst choice. Cardinal Burke had a secret meeting in his room in the Vatican. We hoped maybe Cardinal Sarah or Burke himself might be elected. This was all looking like it had an essence of hope. Then it all unraveled. The barque of Peter hit an iceberg, one probably blessed by Prevost.

Robert Prevost the so called long shot got elected. Trad inc immediately went into worship mode, Taylor Marshall said he would take a knee to pope Leo, mean while, Mike Matt told everyone to zip it if you ever want to see the Latin mass alive again. The first time Mike saw Prevost on the Balcony he commented in X, “He dresses nice, thats a good sign”. Burke who was in the Francis dog house got a second life. All he had to do was sing the Prevost doctrine, which he did and continues to do.

Burke is thick with the Institute of Christ King, in fact he did their ordinations in Florence the same day as the SSPX was doing their ordinations in Encone. The day after Leo was elected our ICKSP rector said “Cardinal Burke says that pope Leo will make a great pope and is the best choice”. I made a face and shook my head which incurred his wrath from the pulpit. A little after a year after this episode comes the SSPX Episcopal consecrations to which a new rector of our oratory referred to the consecrations as the “sad events in Encone” and “anyone relishing in the consecrations should be ashamed and are guilty of sin”. This finally gave me a clear picture of the institute and their goals. They don’t want the restoration of the traditional faith. They are only interested in carving out their own little fiefdoms. Same as Cardinal Burke. I am not accusing the rank and file priests of the institute rather the management. I am convinced the majority of their priests will leave if confronted by the Vatican with “A deal they can’t refuse” forcing them to accept a synodal church and tossing out the TLM, which I am sure will happen.

Next other bishops began hopping on the Leo train daily. Bishop Paprocki, who many thought was orthodox, one of the good ones, quickly joins the anti SSPX program claiming the society is just another protestant sect. Only one problem here, the mass of Paul VI is the mass he reads and it was concocted by 6 protestant ministers. Now who is a member of a protestant sect? I would guess the one reading their services. Archbishop Corleone is the latest addition to Leo’s collection. Another fake traditionalist. He may have refused Pelosi communion but by the same stroke has no problems with LGBT masses in his diocese. He also hopped on the SSPX bashing wagon basically saying SSPX bad, Leo good. His alternative was to “suggest” that traditiones Costodas be repealed and Surmonium ponticicum be expanded. Now that Leo has given him a Vatican post don’t expect to hear anything else regarding providing Latin mass for the faithful. Include in this also Cardinal Sarah, another disappointment getting his licks in on the SSPX. Funny how no one has a clue that as the SSPX goes, so goes the TLM. The Ecclesia Dei is just controlled opposition and has no future.

Now Roche has defined the fate of the Latin mass. He said Leo will never repeal Traditiones Custododas or expand Surmonium pontificum which seals the fate of not only the Latin mass but the traditional faith as well. More and more the SSPX is the only alternative.

This stuff is all to suave and slick for circumstance. This has to have been planned for years. I even have doubts Leo is really in charge of the church or just a dupe. The synodal push of his will take control of the church out of the hands of the clergy and spread it thru the ranks of the laity. I kind of wonder if thats not the case already. Not too much theology coming out of Leo but a whole lot of social issues.

As far as the SSPX persecutions go I also wonder if there is any underhandedness involved in the coercing of all these bishops and Cardinals. Don’t think its tin foil hat stuff either. In a video about the 1958 conclave it was speculated that Cardinal Siri was actually elected pope but was threatened and forced to step down. Remember the white smoke/black smoke controversy. The movie papal importers gives some very credible evidence. Could these fence post sitting bishops have undergone threats? In the Leo church anything is possible.

Right now I am just glad I wised up and left the institute and happy to now be associated with the SSPX. It was so much easier as a kid in the 1950s/60s. The church was one, the pope was orthodox and did not sway from church doctrine. Sin was sin with no grey areas ask any priest or nun a question and you got the same answer. We did what we were told to do because it was, simply Catholic. Now, its a crap shoot.

Ever since the SSPX Episcopal consecrations a lot of strange things have been coming out of the Vatican.
