I saw a post featuring an article by a diocesan priest by the name of Fr. Paul Fliss. Fr. Fliss is definitely a company man trying to push his defective product of Vatican 2 on a naive people. He seems like the Mr. Haney of the Catholic church. Haney was a character on the old Green Acres TV show. Haney was known for his ability to sell defective products and junk to the unsuspecting people of Hooterville. I don’t think Fr. Paul knows, or bothered to find out for that matter just how much the council wandered from Catholicism. I guess thats what happens when “big Leo” says jump! You can see Paul’s journalistic gem below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The big thing now in novus ordoland is jump on the SSPX for their consecrations but don’t bother to find out why or even see the logic. The consecrations resulted in over a year of the society asking Pope Leo permission to consecrate Bishops. Leo basically ignored them all this time with the final insult sending his Dicastery for the doctrine of the faith, the unsavory porn author Tucho Fernandez, to make threats. In order to minister to the faithful new bishops were needed so the Episcopal consecrations continued anyway. It was necessary. The “holy father” proved as fatherly as Pol Pot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fr. Paul then hit home with me on two counts. One he condemns the SSPX chapel in Mukwonago. He said “Within the archdiocese there WAS a group of Catholics who were part of the group celebrating at a chapel in Mukwanago”. Kind of clumsy sentence construction if you ask me. Was? you mean they are not longer there. If they are no longer there then why are you telling us to stay away? What is THE group? SSPX? You don’t tell of that. Its not even accurate, THE group is still there. I know because I am one of them as of 3 weeks ago and I have no intention of turning back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fr. Paul then goes on to say, “This is NOT the group who has permission to say the Latin mass according to the 1962 roman missal in the archdiocese of Milwaukee”. Yes I know that is the Institute of Christ the King that I left after 20+ years to join the SSPX. Paul then babbles on that while they are in communion with the church the mass they say they do not share the same dignity as the mass of Paul VI he celebrates every day. He is absolutely correct there. All my years attending an ICKSP oratory I never once saw dancing girls wander up to the sanctuary, or a priest giving a blessing with his guitar at the end of mass or were they decked out in Rainbow vestments for pride month. I guess I am just to dense to enjoy that pure dignity. Dignity and the Novus Ordo are now and have always been contradictory terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But wait the best is yet to come. He said the approved Latin mass is an ACCOMMODATION for those who have not grown deep enough in their faith. Basically he is calling us residents of some day school. When I read this I had a mouthful of coffee that I sprayed on the screen because I laughed so hard. Sounds to me like he is making excuses for his own short comings. No Paul I have not grown enough to receive the body of Christ from some 60 year old Grandmother minister of the Eucharist in the hand. Being childish I prefer to receive it on the tong by a priest. By the way did you know, Paul, in the old traditional rite of baptism the babies tong under goes an exorcism because it will be the only part of the human body that will be allowed to touch Christ? He then tries to justify that this is why they are not allowed to advertise their group. I guess Paul is of the Dean Wormer school of diplomacy, the institute is under double, secret, probation (animal house).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He then childishly goes on in a kind of, “oh ya well my mass is better than yours”. Lets look at the facts thanks to Fr. Cekeda’s book work of human hands<\/a>. Vatican 2 was the culmination of something called the New Liturgical movement going back to the early 1900s. Their goal was to reinvent Catholicism making it unrecognizable. It was when Pius XII appointed the sinister Fr. Bugninni to a Vatican liturgical position in 1958 things began to take a turn for the worst. The New liturgical movement, or the NLM wanted to shift the focus of the mass from Christ centered to man centered. Out the door went the mass that was the sacrifice at Calvary and in came the man centered mass based on Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” That is a nutshell is Fr. Fliss’s “dignified mass”. A congregation that focuses on itself commemorating the last supper and not the bloody sacrifice on Calvary. There are no Statues, or even the tabernacle in your modern Novus ordo masses because it distracts the congregation focus on each other. That is why they look like the inside of a White Westinghouse refrigerator. Bugnini then hired the use of 6 protestant ministers to rewrite the mass of Paul VI, that dignified mass of Fr. Fliss that is, to make the mass less objectionable to protestants. According to Bishop Paprocki the SSPX is just another protestant sect. There is another Einstein for you, he reads a mass designed by protestants and yet accuses the custodians of the mass of all time of being protestants. Don’t they bother to teach logic in schools anymore?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think Fr. Paul is scared, possibly for his job. I know my newly found SSPX paradise is steadily growing since the consecrations. Paul knows his congregation is shrinking and is desperate to stop the hemorrhaging so he finds it necessary to belittle and degrade people calling them “immature in their faith” in an effort to shame them to keep attending the joke mass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A word about the ICKSP and all the ecclesia Dei groups for that matter. They have no future, that is why I left. Their days are numbered. Their use right now is to try to siphon people away from the society. Problem for them is its working in reverse. People are going FROM the Ecclesia Dei and moving towards the SSPX. Yours truly is an example of that. All I want to be is a Catholic, and by Catholic I don’t mean that thing Leo is trying to pawn off. There is another Mr. Haney for ya, Bobby Prevost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want the real church of true, pre Vatican 2 Catholicism and are curious about the SSPX don’t be afraid and don’t be intimidated. Dip your big toe in and check us out. The water is fine and none of us have pointy tails or carry pitch forks. In the Papal bull of 1563, Pope Pius V made this declaration of the Tridentine mass:”By this present Constitution, which will be valid henceforth, now, and forever, We order and enjoin that nothing must be added to Our recently published Missal, nothing omitted from it, nor anything whatsoever be changed within it.” In short, the Tridentine mass will always be the liturgy of the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for you Fr. Paul, at least try to learn something about the thing you want to hate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
