After 20 years of attending mass at the Institute of Christ King only 2 weeks of their constant nagging on the SSPX sent me off on that route to Wisconsin and St. Pius V church run by SSPX. I was honored that Mundabor mentioned me and my travels in his blog<\/a>. He hit the nail on the head when he said, “I even have a reader who will now attend at the SSPX, just because his own ICKSP priest tried to shame him into ideologically abandoning the SSPX. So now reader Bert Schroeder attends\u2026 at the chapel of the \u201cexcommunicated\u201d. I can well imagine many other similar situations<\/em>.” This captured both my emotions and my logic. If it was not for the rant on pulpit the Sunday after the consecrations I might still be going to the ICKSP. I guess you would have to call this divine will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The road to Muskawago is beautiful from Elgin. Open farm fields, wide open spaces, and a nice ride for a Sunday morning. On the way there are great family farm stands and brown egg stands. Healthy food and a great ride to clear the head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The church is a grand old Lady who managed to escape the “Wrekovations” of vatican 2 when a group of Lay bought the church, which was built in the 1920s, to save her and invited the SSPX to conduct the liturgy. Great atmosphere. I look foreword to many years attending there. However in this crazy world we live in you learn to make constant adjustments. However with the direction the SSPX is going it just looks like I might be there a while<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting back to the Institute of Christ King. I think Mundabors article has sealed my fate. I doubt canon would let me in the door if he reads that. Its all for the best. I was getting increasingly worried about the institute. Getting increasingly cozy with the direction of the dictator Leo. There seems to be a shift of “Loyalty”. Last Easter in our bulletin Low Sunday, which was always listed as Low Sunday was now billed as Low Sunday\/Divine Mercy Sunday. That screams Novus Ordo. To rub salt in the wounds after the high mass they recited the chaplet of divine mercy. At least the SSPX does not hold to the bogus devotion as defined by Fr. Scott<\/a>. Recently I found out that the Institute allows the Novus Ordo mass on Saturday afternoon and Saturday night in certain locations. Although it is not said by any of the canons its mere presence waves a red flag, at least for me. From what I am told this is a bargaining chip to offer the local bishops. As I said before, the institute owns no property that I know of except for 3 pieces. “Please let us read the mass there you can even use it for the Novus ordo”. That to me is like bringing a pig out of its sty into you living room allowing him to sit up on your new sofa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have a traditional Catholic friend who is devout in her faith and thinks very highly of the Institute. She thinks this is necessary for the spread of the Latin mass. I supposed her logic is valid and definitely makes sense. The once a week Novus Ordo was offered to Cupich in Chicago which he refused demanding a “Loyalty Oath” to the Novus Ordo as the one and only accepted liturgy of the Catholic church. To their credit the canons refused the offer stating it would go against their constitution and as a result the Chicago location was shut down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I do respect the Canons of the institute. These are mainly young dedicated men who have made great sacrifices to do what they are doing. But their youth is their enemy. They are naive and really do not know what savagery Rome is capable of. I returned to the TLM back in the 80s. In those days most masses were underground barely existing amidst the threats from Rome regarding our souls. We now have a chance to so something about the wrong turn Rome took back in the 1960s. One thing about the institute is their masses follow the rubrics to the letter, it pageantry as opposed to the Meat and potatoes of the society. Pageantry is nice, its beautiful, but I need meat and potatoes to survive and that is what the church has come down to. A matter of survival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leo and his stiletto high healed toady Tucho will destroy the Institute and all the ecclesia dei groups. I give them 2 years. Now that they handled the nuisance SSPX and feel they just got rid of the main load of bad apples they will start to go full force against ecclesia dei. Not right away for now they need them to draw people away from the SSPX to hopefully put the Coup de gras on the society. I figure Rome will give us Radtrads a year to come to our senses and leave the SSPX then the demolition starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First might be the Vatican will not allow Novus Ordo bishops to ordain priests for the ecclesia dei orders. That will kill their roots. Then maybe to show loyalty to the Bergoglian line of popes priests must learn and read the Novus Ordo and offer it at least once on Sundays. Closing your eyes will not help you guys. Burying your head in the sand will not help either. The only way for your survival is to unite behind the SSPX but I doubt you will realize that before its too late. The ecclesia dei groups just do not realize that in not supporting the SSPX they have just signed their own death warrent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For now I will continue to follow my philosophy of you take care of your soul and I will take care of mine. Right now my soul says stick with the SSPX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
