In 2007, Tom Bengtson and Dale Ahlquist co-founded the first Chesterton Academy in St. Louis Park, a small suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Each had young families and were seeking an alternative to the existing high school options available to them. The two men had a simple mission: to offer a classical, integrated high school education that was faithful to the Catholic Church and affordable for families of average means. Looking to G.K. Chesterton as the model for a complete thinker and modern defender of the faith, they named the school Chesterton Academy. Inspired by Pope Saint John Paul II, they took as their motto Cultura Vitae, the culture of life.

Since our foundation by Fr. James Zatalava in 2004, we have been at the forefront of spreading and transmitting the Catholic Faith. In the 1960s, the Catholic Church as well as Catholic schools underwent significant changes. As a result, dissatisfied Catholic parents removed their children from Catholic schools, thus actually causing some schools to close. In my own case, I never attended a Catholic school, but my two younger brothers did. As adults both lost their faith. Our first two children attended Catholic schools through the early 1970s, and both lost their faith as adults.

Our Lady of the Rosary School Inc is an international Catholic homeschool organization which offers complete curriculums for students from grades pre-kindergarten through twelve. Our Lady of the Rosary School Inc is more than simply a school, however. We are an apostolate dedicated to saving the souls of children by giving them the opportunity to receive a superior, truly Catholic education in the best possible environment - the home.

Hi, I’m Mary, a headcovering, homeschooling, modest dressing Christian lady. I have 2 grown daughters, 2 teenage sons, 1 baby granddaughter, 4 fat cats, 2 fat dogs and 1 beloved husband. Brad and I have been married for 20 years. I used to own Hillbilly Housewife but felt the Lord telling me it was time to let it go. Now I own Frugal Abundance and feel it suits me better these days.

Our primary apostolate is assisting parents who wish to “home school” in the faith formation and education of their children. Our aim is to assist in strenghting families by providing a high quality, solid, Catholic Education. We administrate St. Joseph the Protector Learning Center which is located at Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish in Vienna, Ohio.

Immaculate Heart Homeschool Co-op is a Catholic organization located in Belvidere, Illinois, and formed to support parents who are homeschooling their children.

Since 1995, Mother of Divine Grace School has been providing parents with the information, resources, and support necessary to educate their children according to the classical tradition. Each family in our program guided in implementing the MODG curricula and syllabi in a highly personalized way that also meets our rigorous standards.
